How the daily puzzle streak works
Everyone gets the same puzzle each day. One attempt. Solve it and your streak grows; the longer it runs, the more each solve pays.
The rules, exactly
- The day resets at
- Your own local midnight, from the time zone on your account. It uses a zone name rather than a fixed offset, so the boundary does not shift when the clocks change.
- Attempts per day
- One. The first move you submit is your answer.
- A solve pays
- 500 ETRPY, multiplied by your streak bonus, capped at 1,000 ETRPY.
- Missing a day
- Resets the streak, unless a freeze covers it. A failed attempt and a day you never opened break it the same way.
Streak milestones
| Streak | Multiplier | A solve pays |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | 1× | 500 ETRPY |
| Day 7 | 1.25× | 625 ETRPY |
| Day 30 | 1.5× | 750 ETRPY |
| Day 100 | 2× | 1,000 ETRPY |
The multiplier is hard-capped, so a puzzle can never out-earn a full day of bot games.
Streak freezes
A freeze covers one missed day. It costs 2,000 ETRPY and you can hold up to 3 at a time. It is spent only when it actually saves a streak, so buying one is never wasted on a streak that broke anyway.
Freezes cover days you missed, not attempts you got wrong.
